May 2026

Not to say that these last 31 days were perfect and without struggles, but there’s just something about the month of May that always makes me happy. Not to mention, I got to spend it in both of my homes, with people I love (my chosen families), and one step closer to my goals. I like months like this.

1. The Snapshot

This month began with saying bye to a visiting friend after a week of fun, catching up with a friend from Bonaire at the beach, day-trips with friends, completing my last lectures of the master’s program, taking my last exam (resit for a fail from last period), starting interviews for my thesis, watching Eurovision for the first time (go ferto), flying to my island home and catching up with lots of friends while finishing my thesis draft by the water, going on a couple of dives, getting rescued from the mangroves while windsurfing, and a bunch of other fun.

At the beginning of the year, I made a Vision Board for 2026, but also for each month of the year. That way, my goals are smaller and seem more manageable. I’ve replaced my Pinterest pictures for May to my own pictures. 85% done.

2. The Questions & Answers

What did I move closer to this month? I am sooooo close to finishing this master’s degree, I can taste it.

Where did I grow, even if results aren’t visible yet? I am getting closer to a happy and healed body, even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.

What am I most proud of? I am genuinely proud of my thesis draft, even if my supervisor disagrees.

What’s no longer serving me? I need to let go of the mindset that I will end up having to rush to find a job just for money’s sake.

What’s the next right step? I will start making intentional moves to secure my future, wherever I choose that to be.

3. The Manifestations

Manifestation: I will attract the right business opportunities at the right time.

Action Plan: (1) Hit all remaining thesis deadlines (2) Get various health check-ups done (3) Prioritize time with friends

Limiting Beliefs to Let Go Of: (1) I cannot find a job I love in the city (2) My body doesn’t know how to function properly (3) I cannot find a man that meets me and raises me higher.

Daily Affirmation: I create my own timelines.

Visualizations: I see a confident walk, I feel safe in my body, I have everything I set my mind to.

4. The Challenge

For the next 30 days, I challenge you to reframe one limiting belief into an affirmation. If anything has become clear to me this year, it’s that our minds are incredibly powerful and do exactly what we tell it to… consciously or not. Maybe you want health but eat junk food, so you’re telling your brain that you don’t want to be healthy. Shift this mindset and you will shift your behaviors, which will change your life. Choose one thing you truly desire but feel held back on. Reframe it, and watch how the world obeys you.
