June 2025

I have had quite an interesting month. Lots of new, some old, a little future…. Definitely an emotional roller coaster of a month. But I can still say it was a great June. Not quite the constant-high of May and diving and Bonaire and friends and and and, but WTF June- you did alright. Let’s get into it.

Table of Contents

1.Wins | 2.Takeaways | 3.Failures | 4.Was That Fun?

1. Wins

  • Big / Small Victories: First month of working again! Body composition is noticeably changing, finally starting to feel lighter from the infestation of parasites I’ve had since January.

  • Moments of Joy: Going out with my high-school friend JA in NC, Matt Rife show with my dad, sitting by the pool with mama, going out with my college friend Haley, some good couch hangs with my brother.

  • Number of Books Read: 1 read, 2 others not finished; 1 audiobook

  • Favorite Quote: “There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.” - Robert Louis Stevenson

  • Favorite Location: The 2,5h hike I did with JA in NC where we got lost because the nature was just so beautiful.

  • Favorite Meal: I’ve been meal planning on a diet, but I really liked this chickpea/ground turkey salad. It’s just refreshing and filling and yummy.

  • Favorite Memory: Waking up one day and realizing I’m enjoying what I’m doing again and feel good in my body.

2. Takeaways

This month, I learned that my intuition is strong and I am strong enough to trust myself. I’ve had a sneaking suspicion my intuition was relatively powerful for a while, but I truly feel like I can tap into it now because I’m more confident and connected with myself. I am safe and can trust myself to make decisions based on what I need in that moment.

3. Failures

  • Expectation: I will have a good work-life balance because I’m more mature and have more boundaries.

  • Reality: I worked quite a bit over 20 hours (I’m part time) two weeks in a row.

I’m learning that I am the type of person who likes to check things off her list. And when most of my to-do’s require assistance from others that I’m waiting on, the moment I get that information, I want to do it. But I need to remember that I have a flexible, PART TIME schedule and do not benefit from going over the agreed-upon hours per week.

4. Was That Fun?

Another 30 days/720 hours/43.200 minutes of 2025… did you fun? I did. I had lots of difficult moments too, but it still ended with more positives. Life is all about balance and perspective. I’m thankful for June, but soooooo ready for July. I’ve got big big plans and I can’t wait to see how they unfold. Bring it on, July!
